英文摘要:
Hybrid renewable systems (HRSs) by offering green energy play an important role in supporting increasing electricity demand with regard to shrinking natural resources, global warming, and rising electric charges. Generally, higher efficiency, better power quality, improved reliability, and stability can be achieved from hybrid renewable energy systems when compared with single renewable energy systems. As a result, in this study, a hybrid system consisting renewable energy sources (PV/WT) is chosen. Besides, a backup system comprising hydrogen-based storage system and batteries is provided because of the intermittent and undispatchable PV/WT power generation. In this paper, the power management system (PMS) includes the application of three control strategies: proportional-integral controller (PI), fuzzy-PI, and sliding mode control to meet design and demand objectives. The target of this paper is to investigate and compare the performance of the aforementioned control strategies considering hydrogen consumption, fuel/fuel-cell efficiency, shorter settling time, and fewer fluctuations around the reference value. Two scenarios of constant and random loads are taken into consideration. Taking into consideration the before said criteria, the sliding mode control has a better control response in comparison with the other strategies.
