For comparing radial growth of Larix gmelinii (Rupr.) Kuzen in response to climate change for different slope aspect in the Daxingan Mountain,we collected tree ring samples in central and southern part of Daxingan Mountain to establish the chronology. For southern slope in the central region,the southern and northern slope in the southern region,as the temperature rised in recent decades,there was no obvious change in tree ring width index. For the northern slope in the central region,tree ring width index showed a significant upward trend in recent decades,but the temporal change was not consistent,tree ring width index from 1960 to 1980 increased significantly,by 3. 57%. Comparatively,tree ring width index showed a significant decreased trend from 1980 to 2008,by 0. 89%. There are differences in the change character of tree growth for different slope aspect in the central region of Daxingan Mountain under global warming in recent decades, while in the southern region of Daxingan Mountain,tree growth for different slope aspect has similar change character.
