Totally 89 samples and 107 diatom taxa were studied from a high-resolution gravity core (GA306-GC3) which reveals the paleoenvironmental changes off the West Greenland since 6 700 cal. a BP. Cluster analysis divides the studied period into 3 intervals and 2 subintervals. The palaeoceanographic and climatic changes revealed by the diatom species distribution on the West Greenland shelf coincide with the general pattern of palaeoceanographic changes in the North Atlantic region.
