中文摘要: 有关城市规模的争论始终是我国城市化进程中关注的焦点。在全球变暖与化石能源危机的大背景下,这个问题的讨论不仅要考虑城市经济效益,还要考虑城市能源效率。从欧盟EDGAR碳排放数据库精确提取我国大陆除拉萨市外286个地级以上城市的能耗数据,实证分析了城市规模与城市能源效率的关系;然后在此基础上,全面考察了不同规模城市的经济收益、社会效益、环境质量,发现在现阶段人口在200-500万人之间的大城市在各个方面均有较高的效率。
英文摘要: Optimal city size in China is always a heated issue to be debated in China and the answer determines whether large cities or small cities should be give priority in the urbanization process. It is argued that the issue should be considered from both the perspective of energy and economic efficiency given the dual threats of global warming and fossil fuel crisis. This article extracts energy consumption data of 286 cities at the prefectural level and above in mainland China except Lasa, and analyzes the relationship between city size and urban energy efficiency. The relationship between city size and urban efficiency in economic, social and environmental aspects are investigated, and the findings reveal that large cities with 2 to 5 million population have the highest efficiency in all aspects.
