Based on the meteorological data from 1951 to 2013 at Yinchuan station of Ningxia Hui Autonomous District, the moving average and Mann-Kendall test methods were used to investigate the climate change trend in Yinchuan, and the relationship between urban development and climatic factors in recent 20 years was analyzed using the moving average and Spearman's Rho test method. The results showed that most climatic factors varied slightly before 1990,but changed significantly since then, and the mean, maximum, and minimum temperatures increased significantly while wind speed, mean relative humidity, and sunshine hours decreased significantly.Comprehensive analysis of the relationship between the urban development and climatic factors showed that increasing of total industrial output value and building area in the city has a positive correlation with the increasing of temperature while a negative correlation with the increasing of relative humidity and sunshine hours.
