Global warming has caused great concerns.Agricultural insect pests are affected by elevated temperatures. Here we reviewed the effects of climate warming on the occurrence, the damage as well as the interactions between the agricultural insect pests and natural enemies. For one thing, temperature elevation may lead to geographic distribution expansion of agricultural insect pests, change in phenology, and the outbreak of high-temperature adapted species;for another, global warming changes the damage period of insect pests, aggravates its damages and brings new competitions among pests. The phenological synchrony between agricultural insect pests and its host plants or natural enemies may be changed owing to increased temperature, which thus alters the insects occurrence and biological control. At the end of this review we summarized the current researches and discussed the biological control of agricultural insect pests under the circumstances of global warming.
