To identify the trends of extreme temperature and precipitation changes under climate change background, the temperature and precipitation data of Tanggu meteorological station in Tianjin during 19542013,moving-average method and Mann-Kendall test were used to analyze the trends of eight indices about temperature and six indices about precipitation. The results showed that the increase rate of annual mean temperature was 0.33℃/10a in this area;diurnal temperature range(DTR)had an increase tendency, but the DTRgrew at a slow rate;there was a general tendency that the amounts of warm days and warm nights in a year were increasing;annual precipitation did not showed obvious trend, but annual snowfall was significantly decreased, but this station had not observed snowfall since 1980;frequency of annual extreme precipitation was stable. Therefore, the main influence of the climate change was higher temperature and less snowfall in Tianjin.
