During the development of energy industry, particularly coal chemical industry in China,a large amount of freshwater are consumed and huge CO_2 emission is generated, which significantly affects the realization of Chinas climate change adaptation, energy-saving and emission reduction targets. The technology of carbon dioxide capture and storage combined with enhanced deep saline water recovery(CCS-EWR) and comprehensive saline water utilization can not only help the sequestration of CO_2 but also utilize saline water through extracting the saline water to the ground. The CCS-EWR technology has great potential in development and application of coal chemistry. In this study, the economic feasibility of full-chain CCS-EWR project is discussed based on a case of one million tones CO_2 capture and storage demonstration project in Ordos. The result show that this technology can effectively offset the high cost of CCS. Large scale applicaiton of this technology in midwest of China is not only technical feasible but also economic feasible in western China.
