Using daily maximum temperature, minimum temperature, daily average temperature and daily precipitation data of Xilin river basin weather stations in 1964 - 2013,by using the methods of linear tendency estimate, Danile test,Mann Kendall mutation analysis, the selected 8 extreme weather indexes and the relationship between the extreme weather events and climate change were analyzed. The results showed that: Nearly 50 years Xilin river TXID,TNID were on the rise, the rate were 0.70℃ /10a and 0.78℃ /10a,respectively. Other extreme temperature index(ID,FD,SU) and extreme precipitation index(R95P RXID R95T) were declined. Extreme temperature index change trend was obvious, the extreme precipitation index decline was not significant. For the time change, all the extreme weather indexes had mutation, mutation occurred mainly in the 1980 s. Frequency of extreme weather events had a high correlation with climate change in Xilin river.
