Mountain climate is one of the important researches on climate change response. Vertical lapse rate is the main characteristic of mountain climate. By collecting the daily temperature data of each altitude at Taibai Mountain, the rule of vertical lapse rate variation in the different periods was analyzed, then the vertical lapse rate was verified by using the space of kriging interpolation method. It is concluded that optimum temperature decline rate is 0.5 ℃ / 100 m in north and south slope of Taibai mountain area. Based on the decline rate, the temperature spatial distribution change rate nearly 55 years and temperature change characteristics at high altitude were calculated by using Arcgis Kring method. It can be seen from the results, that the temperature changed obviously at the northwest and southeast of Taibai mountain. The temperature changed least at the most north area of Taibai mountains; the temperature at the central region of Taibai mountains had no obvious change. The temperature year by year in three different part was extracted at the high altitude area,as you can see from the trend of temperature change, the upward trend of temperature became more obvious from the late 1980s. In recent 20 years, the temperature had a significant rise overall in the Taibai mountains.
