With the building energy consumption situation becoming more serious, gymnasiums,as a special type of energy consumption, are receiving more and more attention. The purpose of this study is to explore the adaptability of gymnasiums whose roofs can be opened and closed according to the climate, and then to explore whether the purpose of energy conservation can be achieved in this way. Based on Shanghai Jiading Tongji Gymnasium, this paper takes the method of CFD digital simulation and uses airpak fluid mechanics software to simulate and analyze the gymnasium under the conditions of open and closed roof. The body temperature and thermal comfort are taken as the measurement conditions for the indoor environment,so as to conduct the evaluation. The results show that the opening and closing of the roof can effectively affect the indoor environment. Specifically, when the roof is open, the indoor ventilation will increase, the temperature will decrease by about 2 ℃,and the thermal comfort will change from being warm to being comfortable. When the roof is closed, the ventilation will be weakened and the temperature will rise, which is not conducive to preventing air-conditioning energy consumption during the summer. It can be seen that in summer, opening and closing the roof of the gymnasium can effectively help to adjust the indoor environment according to the climate, change the indoor thermal comfort, and save energy.
