Coping with global climate change is one of the most important challenges facing the development of human society.In the present work,progress in China and global response to climate change is summarized in 4a spects:Community of Human Destinyembodied in UN Resolution,Bonn Climate Change Conference under the concept of win-win cooperation,impact of withdrawal of United States from Paris Agreement and highlighting of China in global climate governance.This study reviews also 4 new features of China's response to climate change under the national development strategy.China's adaptation to climate change is summarized in five aspects:agriculture,water resources,forestry/ecosystem,coastal zone and related fields,and urban areas.Climate change mitigation in China is analyzed from 4a spects:vigorously reducing carbon emissions,focusing on improved energy efficiency and developing clean energy,actively increasing forest carbon sinks,and the national carbon emission trading market.China's future response to global climate change is presented from 3a spects:national high quality development and whole chain to deal with the new development mode of climate change,coordinate the consideration of the relationship between major development strategies such as tackling climate change andone Belt and one Roadconstruction,and vigorously develop science and technology in the field of climate change.
