The coastal aeolian sand widely distributes in southeast coastal of China is the result of the coastal environment evolution. On the basis of chronology analysis,grain-size parameter analysis and the cause analysis of the coastal dunes, the grain-size components that is sensitive to winter monsoon intensity change were got.And the information on the climatic environmental changes in recent 1 300 years was got based on the analysis of sensitive component, historical documents and geological record of peat. The results indicated that the reconstructed history of coastal environment evolution in the study area could be divided to three main phases:1) 680-1100AD,the coastal winter monsoon intensity was relatively weak, yet with gradual increase in the later period, which reflected frequent storm surge activity and warm coastal environment.2) 1100-1700AD,fluctuations of coastal winter monsoon intensity enhanced, which showed the strong aeolian sand activity and relatively cold coastal climate environment.3)1700AD to the current, the winter monsoon intensity fluctuations weakened, which manifested a phenomenon that coastal climate was warming during fluctuating and the storm surge activity increased gradually.
