Starting up in 2001, the Swiss National Centres of Competence in Research (NCCR) support long-term research networks in areas of importance for Swiss science, economy and society. Four calls for proposals have been issued and in total 36 NCCRs funded. This report was commissioned by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and presents the results of an evaluation of the NCCR selection process. The purpose is to provide information for developing the procedures for the next call for NCCR proposals
