英文摘要: Complete oxidation or combustion of any carbon-based organic matter produces CO2, which is known to cause global warming and climate changes. To mitigate the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere various strategies have been implemented such as separation, storage, and valorization of CO2. The focus of this review was on the catalytic processes of the chemistries involved in the conversion of CO2 into value-added products. The various valorization technologies which include conversion of CO2 into fuel, valorization of CO2 as a feedstock for chemicals were discussed. Also, an overview regarding the challenges and opportunities for future research in CO2 valorization was provided. © 2012 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
