Abstracts can now be submitted to the IV International Conference on ENSO. The goal of this conference is to review the progress on the science of the El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO) with a focus on examining the range of ENSO “flavors”, assess the existence of possible, and distinct precursors, and examine how the different oceanic and atmospheric processes that drive the different ENSO flavors and impact their predictability would vary in a warming world.
There will be 6 plenary sessions:
- ENSO observations, including paleodata and analysis of recent events;
- ENSO dynamics;
- ENSO and other modes of climate variability;
- Modeling and prediction;
- Impacts and regional processes;
- Climate information and sustainable development and future of climate and ocean science.
A planned outcome is to publish selected papers in a special issue of the “International Journal of Climatology”. See the conference website for more details.
