英文摘要: Greenhouse gas emissions trading is a major policy tool in the international response to global climate change. This article serves as a critical introduction to the growing literature on the normative issues raised by this influential method of reducing the emissions of gases that drive climate change. To this end, four areas of normative theorizing are explored where emissions trading schemes have been considered vulnerable to critique for reasons that cannot be reduced without remainder to the dominant normative desiderata of environmental efficiency and cost efficiency.
