Exploration and Analysis of Chinese Medicine Treatment for Conditions due to Fog and Haze from Doctrine of Five Evolutive Phases and Six Climatic Factors
Human health problems due to fog and haze weather have aroused widespread concerns in society. The doctrine of five evolutive phases and six climatic factors explains the physiologic and pathologic influence of natural climate on human body. Based on this, the doctrine guides people to draw on the advantages and avoid disadvantages. As for fog and haze leading to diseases, the internal cause is mainly meteorological movement and climate change influencing human body,while harmful physical and chemical substances of different properties in the air are only part of the external causes. To treat diseases due to fog and haze from the doctrine of five evolutive phases and six climatic factors, the changes of five evolutive phases, six climatic factors and evolutive phase-climatic factor combination should be considered comprehensively in the incidence time. According to treating disease and medication regularity of the doctrine,basic principles of treating the disease could be set. When using the basic treating principles of the doctrine, differences in the composition of fog and haze in different regions,as well as the susceptibility of different populations should be considered to treat based on syndrome differentiation.
