Paragon Europe is organising with Climate-KIC (www.climate-kic.org) the conference “Towards a Zero Carbon Economy Beyond 2030 - Sustainable Urban Centres” under the Auspices of the Maltese Presidency of the Council of the European Union on 29 May in Malta, which will be hosted by the Hon. Jose Herrera, Minister for Sustainable Development, the Environment and Climate Change of Malta.
The one-day conference, organised at the eve of Green Week, will focus on the challenges in green urban centres [urban mobility and green transport; sustainable buildings], circular economy [waste management in HORECA sector tackling food perishables; water management in the agricultural sector] and green finance [local government and green finance; financial engineering and green finance] to come up with best impact showcases offering cost-effective solutions.
The primary target audience are policy makers and practitioners working in cities in the field of urban transport, waste management, water management and energy efficiency of buildings. The secondary target audience are research organisations and companies providing new or innovative cost-effective solutions tackling the above sectors and enabling cities and citizens to afford such solutions. |
